Why the Talent Search for Mortgage Speakers?
We receive many requests from speakers asking to be added to the Mortgage Speakers Bureau. We guarantee the
content of all speakers who are members of the bureau, so it is critical that we preview each speaker and
their content.
Since we cannot physically attend all the presentations, and it's expensive to film and produce a DVD for
us to preview, we are holding tryouts where you can present your topic in person.
What types of speakers and topic are we looking for?
The Mortgage Speakers Bureau receives hundreds requests for speakers on different topics. We are looking for additional speakers to offer a more complete menu of topics, motivational talks and technical training. (Click here to view current topics and speakers).
Where will tryouts be held?
At the Hilton Chicago O'Hare Airport Hotel--which is a central location for everyone in the US. The Hilton is connected to the airport so you can just fly in and walk to the hotel meeting room. If you are arriving the night before, please call the O'Hare Hilton for room reservations at 773-686-8000.
What is the date?
Tryouts will be held on Friday, October 12, 2007 and when you register, we will schedule a time for your presentation.
We will make all attempts to make sure the time schedules does not interfere with your itinerary.
What are the requirements?
- Maximum 20-Minute presentation
- If you have a power point presentation, we will have a projector with a remote for you to use. We will also have a
laptop so a CD with your presentation will work just fine.
- If you don't plan to use Power Point, we will need a written outline of your talk.
- To be considered for the bureau, you will either need to be in the mortgage industry currently or have been in the mortgage industry in the past.
- A detailed bio with references as to your past employment history.
- If you have a product that you plan to "sell" with your presentation, we will need to review prior to adding you to the bureau.
