Tracey Rumsey is a successful loan originator in Utah. She has been in lending since 1996 - 4 years as a broker and 9 years as a mortgage banker. She has served as the chair and co-chair of the Education Committee for the Utah Mortgage Lenders Association.

Her passion for education led to her favorite method of self-promotion: developing and instructing continuing education classes for Realtors. She was approached after a class in 2007 and asked “Do you write? Because this class would make a great book!” 2 months later she had a book deal and Saving the Deal – How to Avoid Financing Fiascos and Other Real Estate Deal Killers, AMACOM Publishing, New York, was released in January of 2008.

She now writes monthly for MortgageCurrentcy.com, an ezine for mortgage professionals, providing all of their monthly FHA and VA content as well as answering subscriber questions from all over the country.

Tracey’s personal life is as passionate as her professional one. She and her husband enjoy riding ATV’s in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter. She is an avid amateur photographer and grandmother of 3.

But it’s her love of running that keeps her going year round. She competes in half-marathon and 10-mile events and recently started trail running as well. And in true Tracey fashion, writing and education found their way into her running life.
